Understanding Bach Flower “Drop” Directions

The instructions for Bach Flower essences are not always that clear.  Here is a handy guideline (Rasmussen, 2012):

Emergency

  • Place the drops of the Bach Flower essence directly under the tongue.  (Be sure not to touch the dropper on the skin).  For example, use 4 drops for Rescue Remedy as per the label.

New Event

  • For emotions from a new event, add 2 to 4 drops (see the label) to a glass of natural spring water and sip from that glass throughout the day.  Use this method for up to 3 days.

Long Term

  • Issues taking longer than 3 days to resolve, require making a treatment bottle.  Place 4 drops from the treatment bottle directly under the tongue, 4 times per day.

Treatment bottle instructions:

  1. You will need: empty mixing bottle (1 oz / 30 ml), Bach Flower essences, and natural spring water.
  2. Add 2 to 4 drops each (see the label) of the Bach Flower essences into the empty mixing bottle.
  3. Fill the rest of the way up with the natural spring water.
  4. Label the treatment bottle.
